The VIVAX & RADIODETECTION range of cable/pipe locators and cable fault finders have become an industry standard used by utilities, mines, contractors and professional locators with a unit for all budgets. RD also offer Ground Penetrating Radar as well as Pipeline Inspection Cameras and Corrosion Mapping & fault Location units. We also have dedicated cable fault location products with sheath fault finders, TDR's and Thumpers.

We are specialists in the HV test area with B2 HV Diagnostics VLF, Tan Delta and Partial Discharge testers, DV Power Transformer Ohmeters and Hipot Testers as well as LV/HV safety equipment such as Rescue kits, Gloves, HV Detectors & Protective clothing.

Our dry soils make earth testing a problem and many earth testers only have a few milliamps of test current - the AEMC and SONEL range have test currents up to 250ma to push through the dry soil and get a result. We also have the affordable Metrel MI3295 Step/Touch Potential test Set to meet the new requirements for this testing.

Power costs are an issue these days and our range of power recorders from Sonel, AEMC, HT Italia and Metrel can perform power auditing and more as well as meeting your budget.

The METREL range of products offer cost effective test equipment that is made in Europe with good quality and accuracy. The Deltapat PAT Tag Testing system has become an industry standard with its Bluetooth coms and control via Android app making testing quick, easy and repeatable.

Purchasing test equipment is only half the equation – knowing how to use it competently is the other half, so we provide training courses for you and your staff to achieve the level of competence needed for safe and effective use of the equipment. Please note: Unitest is not a training organization but rather provides training as a result of the purchase of equipment to provide a level of competancy.

Unitest has its own Calibration & Service facility in our Perth office with technicians that have some 26 years of industry experience which is fairly unique. We also have strong working relationships with eastern states service departments, and the backing & support of the principals as we know how critical it can be to get your test equipment back into service as quickly as possible. We also understand that selling the test equipment is only part of the equation, service and support is essential for the maintenance of that equipment and the peace of mind knowing we are local.

Our Calibration Equipment is calibrated by a NATA registered laboratory to assure accuracy and we can offer calibration on just about all electrical test and measurement equipment with the quickest turnaround our service technicians can achieve.

Some of the range of products we test/calibrate/repair are cable/pipe locating systems as well as all the insulations testers, loop and RCD, power analysers, clampmeters, multimeters, 4-20ma testers, earth testers, micro ohmeters, appliance testers, multifunction testers etc plus Unitest can offer competitive prices on replacement if your test equipment is not economical to repair. We have a service agreement locally for all the camera inspection systems to be repaired by a Panasonic service agent.

The new Western Power Authority requirements for Meter Load testing is met in the Unimac CAT4 Meter Load units. There are models available rated 5A 1200Watt and 9A 2400Watt complete with Silicon Lead Set and Carry Bag. Robust and easy to use they are affordable and meet the specifications of the power authorities right across Australia.

The new VIVAX Metrotech VScan Locator system is the latest technology in affordable cable/pipe locator systems with its rugged design and excellent features. With 33 & 131kHz Active frequencies it locates all services from power, pipe and comms with accuracy having a bright easy to read display showing compass direction to service, signal strength and depth as well as signal current measurement. The VScanM model incorporates a Metal Lid detector also. Optional GPS available for asset mapping.

To compliment the VScan the new VCamMX Mini Camera Inspection system has been released featuring an 18 or 26mm Color Camera head with a 45 or 30m Kevlar reinforced Pushrod on its own Reel. The bright 8" Daylight Control Module is attached with recording to USB for convenience. A Sonde is included to make locating the Camera head easy plus the Li-ION battery gives over 5hrs of operation.

SEW have released the new MDK-50K HV Phasing & Voltage Meter Kit which comes in a Hard Case with 0.5m Sticks and 0.5m extensions. The Digital 4000 Count Meter will measure and display up to 50KV AC or DC with good accuracy and has a backlight also. Phasing out or proving dead as well as measuring line voltages is quick and easy.

The new Megger TDR2000/3 Cable Fault Locator has enhanced features and a higher output voltage to drive into power cables. The colour LCD display is easy to read and the cursors allow zooming in on abnormalities with Autosetup for ease of use. With Li-ION Batteries the unit has good service in the field and can locate faults up to 20kms with high resolution.

The new EFO HV Rescue Kit is a price breakthrough for a combination portable/wall mounted kit that comes complete in a shatterproof IP67 ABS case with LV & HV rescue sticks, gloves, fire blanket, isolation sign, LED torch, multi-trauma dressing, thermal shock blanket, CPR face mask and meets regulatory requirements for electrical safety. Optional HV detector.

SONEL MMR-650 Heavy Duty Micro Ohmeter

Designed to measure very low resistances of both resistive and inductive types of objects, including amorphous core transformers. This product is made to be used in power plants, railways and maintenance companies, to measure welded and soldered connections, equipotential bondings, earthing conductors, contacts, bolted connections, windings of motors and power transformers and other resistive and inductive objects.

SONEL MIC-5001 5KV Tester & MRU-10 Earth Test.

The SONEL MIC-5001 is a quality Euro made 5KV tester that has CAT4 and IP65 ratings to assure rugged reliable service. It can measure to 5 Teraohms with adjustable output voltages from 50-5000V DC and will measure and display leakge current. Auto discharge and display of test voltage are also features with 3 test periods that can be set for timed tests. Comes with rechargeable batteries, a quality lead set with probes & clamps in a carry bag for less than $2k.
